The East Africa University (TEAU) Kenya play the role of Learning center of IST BURKINAFASO (MOU Between two institutions )
Learning centers are places where students can self-direct their learning —usually in pairs or small groups—within the classroom. These designated spaces allow students to work collaboratively by accomplishing activities given an allotted amount of time and rotating to the next center after they have each completed a task. Learning centers also provide student with opportunities to practice hands-on skills and social interaction.
Some classes have assigned spaces for learning centers all year while teachers in tighter classrooms set up and take them down as needed. Permanent learning spaces are typically placed around the perimeter of the classroom or in nooks and alcoves where they don’t interfere with the movement and flow of the classroom. No matter where a learning center is located or whether it is always standing, the only firm requirement is that it is a space in which students can work together to solve problems.
The Exam Invigilation Centre at The East Africa University (TEAU) Kenya provides a professional and academically-secure testing environment for both IST BURKINAFASO and external students.
The University is located 8 kms from Kampala City Centre along the Kampala-Jinja highway. It is accessible through the Banda Trading Centre and Kyambogo “T” Junction. There is also an access route through Ntinda-Kiwatule Road.

Training and Provision of Invigilators
- The Exams Office will provide appropriately trained invigilators for all IST exams held in Common Assessment Periods. Where possible, the Exams Office will also provide invigilators for departmental exams, providing a request is submitted by the department with at least at least two weeks’ notice, and invigilators are not already engaged working in IST scheduled exams.

The Exams Office may deem such training necessary for all invigilators, or a selection (eg those invigilators who generally act in a Senior or Room Invigilator role). Invigilators will be expected to attend any training session they are invited to, and those who do not may not be offered further work until training has been completed. All training sessions will be compensated at the current rate of pay for Assistant Invigilators.
Responsibilities of all invigilators
All invigilators must Attend all allocated shifts (except in the case of emergency)
- Remain vigilant and attentive – do not read, check emails or phones etc in the exam venue

You may be invited for an informal chat with one of our team (not an interview but a chance to get to know you and establish what sort of training you may need). If you are successful you will be required to register withhttps://kelms.kyu.ac.ug/course/index.php and http://www.ist-ecampus.online/blended/ force who administer casual work assignments in the University, conduct right to work checks and issue Casual Worker Permits.
The guide provides all the information an exam invigilator will need to know to support them in their role.
IT Help Desk (Helping Desk at Kyambogo University for the students of IST Burkina Faso)
Get the training you needed to stay ahead with expert-led courses on IT Help Desk. At ICT department you will get username and password : https://kelms.kyu.ac.ug/course/index.php and http://www.ist-ecampus.online/blended/
Initially, the course would focus on helping every student and teacher learn to use an iPad, alleviating some of the support tickets assigned to the IT department which, at the time, consisted of three individuals. But beyond tier 1 support, how would this constitute as a credible course that would appeal to colleges and universities? How would it be taught day to day? How would it be assessed and graded?.
The design of the “Student Help Desk” course evolved over the year from tier 1 support to deconstructing problems, testing updates, authoring tutorials, researching new and emerging technologies, and developing passion projects. In short, this course was driven by self-directed learners and student-centered from the outset. Students would find problems throughout the course of the school online and devise a solution or know the right resources to employ. Beyond those pieces, students were concurrently engaged in research projects where they took on a topic that interested them.
Studying from your own desk, in a quiet space, allows you to settle down and completely focus. Whether you set yourself study time restrictions or you power through until your work is complete, a desk encourages you to create a study area that is productive and will help you see results.
